Yeah, like i said the first 2 seasons are somewhat of a grind.

But its amazing, glad you liked it. :)
Starting the last season now -- I can finally understand your comment about the series being 'ahead of its time'. Gotta completely agree. I would be surprised if it didn't influence the re-imagined BSG; there are a handful of parallels that I noticed, and the general gritty tone is utterly different from Star Trek. (Aside from DS9, but that's pretty much the black sheep of the ST family.)

Sheridan really turned out great -- I'm so damned glad that they replaced O'Hare. There are some slow spots in the series, where the momentum sags, but when it fires up again...it really hits home. The Face of the Enemy, for example, really served as a punch to the gut after the slow patches preceeding it. This scene in particular was brilliant on every level -- music, dialogue, acting, the way it was shot, the prolonged beating, etc. I felt sick after watching it, such was the emotional heftiness. Some of my other favourites, across the seasons: And The Sky Full Of Stars, The Coming of Shadows, In the Shadow of Z’ha’dum, Divided Loyalties, The Long Twilight Struggle, Passing Through Gethsemane, A Late Delivery From Avalon, Walkabout, Z’Ha’Dum, Intersections in Real Time.

On another note, I'm not sure if it's just me, but I reckon G'Kar has pretty much the coolest voice ever.

So many things to analyse in this series -- if I had a site I would probably even rewatch it all just to post up reviews of each episode there. If I ever learn how to make one I may just do that someday, would be enjoyable.

I've always loved Kosh, in my opinion he is one of the deepest chars in the show; albeit brief. I've always had this theory that he wanted to tell Sheridan and the rest of the younger races about the dark things the Vorlons had done, and by far given the sheer might of the Vorlons he was probably the most sympathetic one out there.

Kosh was definitely awesome -- I particularly liked how his more vulnerable side emerged before the character departed. He was definitely the most sympathetic of the Vorlons, his replacement was a real bastard.

As for the clip, that has to be one of the best season endings ever. Just utterly epic.

My own favourite Kosh scene, or rather one that he prompted: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X-7CjnBKAb8

There's also a certain horrific beauty to this one. Neat to see how YT has all these great scenes floating around.

Finished the series.

You should all watch this, or feel shame.

Still need to go through the DVDs, Caine. Those can easily be downloaded. Just watched a few of them, man I miss that show.

I'm actually re-watching the series at the moment. Very nostalgic. I remember just how awesome particular scenes were, too -- that speech G'Kar makes at the end of The Long Twilight Struggle gave me shivers. Ace writing.

And it's sweet to see a B5 video with actually decent editing -- so hard to find any, from what I've seen. The best one I've seen so far is probably this, just matched very well with the lyrics.
