Tyrius Athilin was still checking his omni-tool when he heard a bang above him. Instinctively, the turian looked up, his Special Response training activating his senses. The movement made him cringe, his sick feeling worsening. Struggling to suppress the feeling, he unholstered his pistol and waited for a bit.
Abandoning the turian investigator next to him, Tyrius made his way out of the apartment, and made his way upstairs.
There weren't many apartments on this floor, in fact, there were only two. His comm-unit picked up all sorts of chatter, C-Sec officers talking to one another, and Tyrius could tell some of them were about the loud bang. To the turian's trained ear, the noise had sounded like a gun, but its size and type were unknown to him. He had been too distracted by his sickness.
One of the doors was shut tight, with only a small electronic message reminding the observer that is was for 'rent'.
Tyrius moved on to the next door, and, standing still, he then heard the impact of a very faint thud, barely audible but those who were listening. This was the room.
Tyrius instinctively grabbed his comm-unit, and revealed his location and that he might need backup. Then the turian inhaled deeply and banged the door with his fist twice, yelling.
"C-Sec, open the door!"

"If the broker is breaking through my firewalls, I have not paid enough for these defenses. If I have to upgrade to artificial intelligence, I will get rid of this VI. I do not care if it is banned from the citadel."
Damien opened up a sub-routine in the mainframe, allowing him to view the ghost-image of Stanley's disc from the Lt. General's deposit box in a virtual black box.
The scan revealed plans for a Krogan superstructure with what looks like Geth design.
"What the hell is this? Connors definitely did not plan this. He was an avid Krogan sentimentalist, not a war monger. I need to find Stanley fast. Otherwise C-Sec is going to lock me in imprisonment until the investigation is over, or kill me if they stop caring. My luck would be on the latter." Damien reclined in his chair, flipping a credit chit in the air.
"Mr. Stein. The anomaly is growing in its brute force attacks. Please advise on next course of action. I cannot hold back attempts much longer. Intruder is going after safety box Dx6a data."
Connor's box.
"Re-route the ghost-image to my personal omni-tool and delete all copies of it on the mainframe. We need to put a tracer out on the incoming bugs. What is our closest lead?!" Damien pressured the laborious VI.
"Running out of defense protocols, power draining from local generator. Need boost to defense, otherwise local shutdown imminent," The VI exclaimed.
"Hold the line. Suck the juice from the maintenance level of the Presidium. Nothing lives down there anyway. Hold it for a minute longer. Once we have a lock, shutdown the system with a block," said twirling images on his omni-tool around the room.
He could not get the plans that were in the safety box out of his head. Whatever he was into was dirty...Come on Connor, don't get me mixed up in this. If I knew you were going to have me take care of your work after getting passed through on the Citadel, I would have taken business to Illium.
"All systems offline. We have a lock, Mr. Stein."

Brakkus grimaced at Tyrius' grumbling. Trying to re-focus his mind to the tasks at hand, perhaps he could check if any Krogan has been recently transported aboard the Citadel. Even if their weapons hadn't been tagged on check-in, these possible-assassins could be brought in for interrogations. Since this crime is recent, he even had a chance to catch them on the way out. Without giving it another thought he accessed his omni-tool and sent a message out to C-Sec security at the docks to keep an eye out for Krogans, and detain those who were preparing to leave.
Turn his attention back to Tyrius, who was fiddling with his own omni-tool, he was to tell him to move on, that the crime scene was a dead end. It was then that the nearby gunfire brought him to absolute alertness. Then, Tyrius was gone before any of the guards or other investigators could catch up. By the time he had caught up to Tyrius the man was already pounding on the door, perhaps the junior officer's senses were keener than he had suspected.

Thud. Thud.
"C-Sec, open the door!"
The commotion roused Sanria to his senses once again; the continuing thudding of the Turian’s fist against the metal door, drilled a repeating beat of the dull noise into his mind, keeping the man from losing his sense of consciousness. Barely managing, he was able to push himself up from the crutch that was the mattress of his bed, and untangled himself from the knotted covers.
A few laboured steps brought the man to his door, the small display next to the portal showing the two c-sec officers outside. With a grunt of frustration, he pressed a finger onto the intercom‘s switch, transmitting his gravely voice to the pair.
“Go away, I have no dues to owe – I know your game well enough by now, and I can ensure you, you won’t get anything from me”
Not hanging around for a response, the human turned heel padding over to the on-suite kitchen, once against making a loud racket as he attempts to put things in order.

A voice responded, telling them to go away. Who the hell did this guy think who he was? In a perfect maneouver, trained in Special Response, Tyrius typed a command into his omni-tool, then he stepped to the side, and sent his foot against the door. The omni-tool had unlocked it, enabling the turian's kick to open the door successfully. With a loud crash, Tyrius entered the apartment, quickly scanning the room for the man who had spoken. He stood by the kitchen, messing with some things.
The movement had made the weakened turian dizzy, but he still stood upright and aimed his pistol at the human.
"Arms up, human!"
Approaching steadily, but carefully, and eyed the man's appearance. He didn't look very healthy, but he also looked familiar.
"...Sanria?", the turian muttered.

Brakkus rushed past the human and began inspecting the mess that was a kitchen. He could not yet tell whether or not evidence lay hidden here, but looked back to Tyrius who still had his gun trained on the man. "...Sanria?" The name wasn't familiar to Brakkus, but everything within the room would need to be processed. "So, human, where is the gun we just heard?"
